Wrap the tape around the fullest part of her chest, under the arms, snug but not tight.

Around her natural waist, where she bends sideways. Keep one finger under the tape.

Shoes off, back against a wall, heels together. Measure from the floor to the top of her head.

Fit varies by dress. Check that style’s fit notes and send us the dress name, her chest and waist measurements, height, and usual size. Extra length and extra room affect each style differently, so sizing up is not always the right choice.
Does a petticoat change the size I need?
No. Our petticoats sit underneath and are sized on the same age scale, so pick the same size as the dress.
How much room to grow is built in?
Choose a fit she can comfortably wear now. An oversized dress can be too long or loose. Ask us about the specific style before choosing a larger size for growth.
