I went looking for a princess gown for my granddaughter's birthday, and I expected it to be easy. It wasn't. The dresses I found were either flimsy costumes that wouldn't survive the party, or beautiful from a distance and disappointing up close. None of them felt worthy of the little girl who was going to wear one.

So I started Princess Inspired. From our home in Orlando, I hand-select every gown in the collection myself, and the standard is simple: would I put my own granddaughter in it? Most don't make the cut. The ones that do have real structure, layered petticoats, hidden zippers, and the kind of detailing that holds up in photographs and in memory.
